Part 4 – Wrong Part of Town

The streets are quiet, a crisp wind echoes between the buildings. There is an eerie absence of people despite the moon barely emerging from the horizon. The Party may have some familiarity with situations like this, and become on edge. They find a quieter part of town, where the buildings obscure view, and keen eyed members may spot shadows in the distance. A barrel is launched from the roof towards the most vulnerable member of the Party. Hooded ruffians burst into the town square, eager for the Party’s money. They have a variety of weapons and a battle plan. Ambush!

Things to Prepare:

  • Stat blocks for a group of Ruffians, increase the size to increase the challenge.
  • An area to fight in, including cover and obstacles.
  • A strategy for the Ruffians to follow in combat.
  • A list of loot the Ruffians had stolen from other victims.

On Success: The Party defeats the Ruffians and finds their stolen loot.

On Failure: The Party is knocked out, but not killed, and are stolen from..

Reward: A bag of money, trinkets and/or equipment from other victims.
