Part 7 – P-Arr-Ley!

The Party boards the ship of the Pirate Captain. They battle with the crew that are already above deck. A large crystal embedded in the mast emits a thick fog. During the fray, perceptive Party members may hear heavy footsteps approaching a door at the back of the ship. The cabin bursts open, a Skeletal Pirate Captain strides onto the deck, mocking the Party for daring to challenge him. A blue gem hangs around his neck, emanating with a cold glow. The amulet hums softly, calling out to the magically inclined members of the party. The Captain attacks the Party.

Things to Prepare:

• Stat blocks for the Pirate Captain and crew,
• Drawbacks for the Party until they remove the source of the fog.
• A ship deck arena with obstacles and environmental objects.
• Statistics for a magic amulet that hangs around the Captain’s neck.

On Success: The Pirate Captain is defeated, and the Party is victorious!

On Failure: Any surviving Party members are captured and left marooned.

Reward: A magic amulet, a ship of their own, and lots of reclaimed gold!
